Heh everyone.  Hope you Mothers all had a great Mother's Day.

We will no longer have a specific spelling list, so no formal testing.  I may test random words, but they will all be words that we have taken throughout the year.

This passed week was fun with the Reading Challenge.  The assembly was today and all draws were made.
The hatching of the chicks was a super experience.  The students had fun checking in on them and then seeing them once they were hatched.  We successfully hatched 20 chicks.  The Graves family lent us their incubator and then took the chicks home to the farm, so a big thank you goes out to them.

This blog format has changed, so until I can figure out how to do things again, this is all I will post.

Pizza day is this Wed. and our sports day will be coming up May 25!

Hi everyone!  I am back again.  Next week starts a fun filled month to help promote the importance of reading to all students!  It is once again the Library Reading Challenge Luau!  Say Aloha to great Books!

Starting on Tuesday, we kick off the challenge with:
Wear Hawaiian colors.  Now not too sure what those colors are exactly, but I know they love bright colors, so just about anything goes.
Wednesday is Electronics Turnoff.  Try to have no electronics all day, eg. no computers, no gaming systems and no t.v.'s.  Wear green today!
Thursday is Shade Day, wear sunglasses and stripes today
Firday - is a P. D. Day

Next week will be more color days!

This Thursday, we will be filming the whole school in the shape of the Canada Flag. All grade one students need to wear a white t-shirt. If your child is not in a white t-shirt, they will be asked to sit out.

We are filming this to enter an O'Canada contest. It is our finally. I think the prize is $500.00 to the school.

Autism awareness day is this Monday, April 2. We are encouraging everyone to wear blue!

Hello! I'm back! I am so sorry that I haven't posted for awhile. I have been so busy with the judo tournament that we just hosted. It is over and now I just have to clean up after myself! I will try to be better at posting again.

Tomorrow, March 28, our class will be going over to the ice arena for a bicycle rodeo. Mr. Jensen's class and our class will be there by 1:30 until about 2:15. Students may bring their bikes and helmets if they want to. They will be checked for safety and proper fit. If your child does not have either, bikes and helmets will be provided for them to use. The will ride their bike through a little course. If your child cannot ride a bike, they usually have a bike with training wheels, there for them to use.

It is fun and a great learning experience.

Welcome back after a nice restful week. Hope everyones week went well.

We are back into a long haul now, as March is a long month, but I know we will get a lot accomplished.

Please continue to read every day at least 15 minutes each day and don't forget to mark it into their agendas and oh yes, please sign the agendas as well after you have read what they have written.
